The Thunder Rumbles...

Well, there is already talk of another campaign soon.  I'm happy to report than all who came had a good time. Although we didn't get to finish it, we did take a look at each team's statistics at the end and determined that team Mercs won a sound victory; having both the most resources, and settled planets by the time we called it, so kudos to Coplenite and Mr. Director.  We'll probably be switching teams up, coming up with a new background story, discovering new planetary systems, and refining our knowledge of the rules while we await another universal war.  We made many mistakes (particularly in regards to Firestorm Armada) but we'll have those ironed out in no time.
If anyone has any helpful suggestion regarding either game systems or if you've done a campaign like this in the past, put up a comment in the Tips and Trick page!
Thanks for everyone who participated, brought snacks, and had awesome attitudes throughout last weekend!

The dust settles....

Although today seemed like it accomplished little, it did prove that the Void Alliance wasn't invincible, with a single Aquan Fleet punching through an expeditionary fleet and straight into the home fleet of Team Voystran's Homeworld. Though the cost was great, their wasn't a single survivor; to make matters worse, the Aquan Battleship ended up in enemy hands (though not before taking a great deal of ships with her).  However, Team Cyan planned to follow this attack with a full-strength RSN fleet that would surely have punched right through the tattered remains of the Voystran Home Fleet.  It was a good weekend, but ultimately a short campaign that needs much streamlining to make a feasibly finish-able one possible, and it had no clear-cut winners.  We will be working on this with the remainder of our break and will be posting the full campaign rules and updates ASAP and as we make adjustments. (and possibly doing another campaign soon ;) )

"Sir, enemies coming in out of warp jump!" "Ready all weapon systems, all hands to battle stations!"

Well, yesterday was the first practice run and today was the first day of Galaxy on Fire!  It seemed like everyone had a great time and we even came into a 3-way bout!  There was much chatting and friendly social conduct that made it that much more enjoyable. Although we did have a couple of people drop out, and we're down to 4 teams.  So far, it has turned into a great big 2v2 with Team Merc and Team Voystran have joined forces into the Void Alliance.  Meanwhile team Cyan and The Southern Mizu Zoku have formed their own alliance, called the Southern Water Tribes.  Unfortunately, The Southern Mizu Zoku's home system is already under threat by a joint strike from The Void Alliance.  Here are some pictures for everyone's enjoyment.

Well, the 3 of the other fleets have finally arrived and been painted, hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures of the painted fleets!  Now the last race we're awaiting is the Works Raptor Fleet, and it should be arriving anytime now...

RSN dropping out of slipspace and awaiting further orders....

Well, the first of the five fleets has arrived today, the Rense System Navy, and I can't wait to start building them, but with finals Wednesday I don't know how far I'll make it.

Saturday

Hey everyone who's checking this, this upcoming Saturday I want to have another meeting where we can get everyone in the same room.  I want to host it somewhere with a more official attitude and then after (if anyone's up for it) we can go hang out somewhere else.  Right now I'm thinking Panera or at one of the Campus Libraries, if anyone has some suggestions please reply, but the deadline will be this Wednesday.

Fleets on standby and awaiting command....

So tomorrow is the final day to decide whether you want to do Firestorm Armada or Warpath, as I'll be ordering everyone's respective fleet, so give them a final look over and be sure to pick one you'll enjoy!  If anyone has any questions regarding their fleet or the other fleets feel free to either comment here or shoot me an E-mail!
